Having trouble inserting or removing a key from your front door, mailbox or gate padlock? Whatever stuck lock you find yourself dealing with, it’s likely a little 3-IN-ONE Penetrant Spray can help you out of this pickle and save you from calling a locksmith.
If you haven’t used penetrant before or have a number of times but just need a reminder of how to make the most of it, keep on reading for step-by-step instructions to fix a door lock.
Point the red precision straw directly into the hole of the lock, then spray. The formula will quickly seep into the crevices and break down rust that’s holding stuck parts together.
Work the key into the lock to better distribute the penetrant to free the parts from the hold of rust, and wipe away excess on the lock and key.
Apply a drop of 3-IN-ONE Multi-Purpose Original Oil inside the lock and work it in with the key to leave long-lasting lubrication and protection.
Top tip – Drip Oil is also great to avoid those squeaky hinges!
